We came down to Boston last night to see Ethan the night before his heart surgery. We spoke to both anestisiology and cardiology, and Tina and I did his trachea tube replacement. He had a great night, and he smiled much of the time. Carol (Grandma Flatt ) flew in from Cincinnati after 9pm. Kristen picked her up while we spent some time with Ethan. We decided to spend the night in Boston rather then driving back to New Hampshire.
Ethan went in for his heart surgery this morning around 7:30 am. Just after 1pm the doctor came out and told us that Ethan did great!!! Obviously this is a huge relief for all of us. We are so thankful and appreciate everyone's continued support during his extensive stay in the NICU. I'll post more later as we are waiting to see him right now in recovery.
