Well, we were hoping to be writing this post to tell you all that Ethan was home and happy. But, unfortunately, that is not the case. We got a call Tuesday around noon that Ethan had a temperature and that they felt he had some sort of infection. Chest X-Rays would later confirm that he had pneumonia. I went down on Tuesday evening and spent the night with him and though he still had a fever he did very well over night. I came home Wednesday to beat the storm that has now given us close to a foot of snow. It is so hard to be away from Ethan, especially when he is sick! Ryan will be heading down tonight to be with him. We were told that he did not have a fever at all yesterday so that is a good sign. We are hoping for a quick recovery!!!
We obviously had to postpone his bronchoscopy. His doctors are hoping that they will be able to get a good enough look at his airway while he is awake in order for him to come home once he has recovered from the pneumonia. He will than have a few weeks to recover and we will try and do the bronchoscopy once more. He is such a trooper and has been doing so well for so long. We are just praying we can get him home again soon!!!
