Good morning everyone,
I'm sitting at the Columbus Airport this morning waiting on my weekly flight back to the east coast. It was even more difficult to leave this morning, not knowing exactly when I'll be back next. I'm definitely staying in NH next weekend, but will hopefully be back the following weekend after that. It was great to have a long holiday weekend to spend with my family.
It's absolutely incredible how quickly Kevin is growing right now. Each weekend I come home, he is noticibly larger and doing better. He's a great baby, and has been sleeping at night 3.5 to 4 hours at a time. It makes things much easier on mom and dad when he gets a solid 4 hours in at a time. Kevin has a vision test and some other checkups this week that Tina is going to take him too. Hopefully everything goes well with those. He's awesome.
Ethan is equally as awesome, just in a different setting. He's celebrated another week in the NICU at Nationwide Childrens. We went straight to the hospital on Friday night after my mom and Tina came and picked me up at the airport. He's still on the vent, but he's looking so good now. His skin tone looks great, and the most amazing part was this weekend he smiled for us several times. For a kid who's already been through so much at his young age, it was a beautiful thing to see as a parent. Ethan is going in today for some sort of bracheo(insert procedure name here) test today to see what's going on in his upper airway. That seems to be where he's shown issue when they take him off the vent. The hope is it's just swollen and takes time to go down. We will see what they say.
Tina's doing well, although very sleep deprived. It was nice to be able to lay in bed with her and Kevin on Saturday morning and sleep in a bit. She's been getting so much help from friends and family, and we really appreciate everyone. She's been wanting to write a blog for a long time now, but some technicaly issues with the computer have prevented it so far. I'm sure she'll be on here soon though.
This should be my last week in the house in NH with no furniture. All of our stuff is scheduled to be delievered on Monday morning. That means I need to make sure the painting and carpet are completed before that happens. This should be an interesting week. Much love and have a great week!
Cheers,
Ryan, Tina, Ethan, and Kevin
